Hunter’s favorite Pecan dreams are a classic cookie we love to bake for the Holidays. They’re crisp, buttery cookies laced with finally chopped pecans and rolled in powdered sugar. prep time 10 MINUTES cook time 12 MINUTES total time 22 MINUTES
INGREDIENTS
2 sticks unsalted butter
2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans
6 rounded tablespoons powdered sugar, plus 2/3 cup more for rolling
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 to 3 teaspoons water
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 350° and line two rimmed baking sheets with a silpat or parchment paper.
In a large bowl, add all the ingredients. Mix on medium-low until combined. Dough should be a little crumbly.
Form dough into little balls (the width being no larger than a nickel) and place on prepared pan, 1-inch apart.
Slide the pan onto the middle rack of your oven and bake for 12-14 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through.
Allow the cookies to cool for 3 to 4 minutes on the pan before rolling a few at a time in powdered sugar.
